The Virginia Branch of The International Dyslexia Association (VBIDA) is a branch of The International Dyslexia Association, an international organization that concerns itself with the complex issues of dyslexia.

Five Year Goals 2007 - 2012

To hire an executive assistant to work with the President and the Board of Directors to achieve the goals of the association.

To increase membership awareness and involvement in activities sponsored by the VBIDA by developing outreach programs to serve diverse populations.

To offer a high quality annual conference by dividing and assigning duties equitable between the four geographical regions in a way that expertise is developed and passed on for the benefit of future conferences.

To increase public awareness of dyslexia.

To develop, research, and sponsor activities which will strengthen teacher training in Virginia in a way that improves services to people with disabilities.
