Mission for the VBIDA

The Virginia Branch of The International Dyslexia Association is a branch of The International Dyslexia Association, an international organization that concerns itself with the complex issues of dyslexia. The membership of this branch consists of a variety of professionals in partnership with dyslexics and their families.

We believe all individuals have the right to achieve their potential. To this end, we actively strive:

To improve public awareness and understanding of dyslexia,

to provide information about resources on dyslexia,

to disseminate research-base knowledge about dyslexia and,

to promote effective teaching approaches and strategies for dyslexics.
